Today the final event of the LIFE Methamorphosis project was organized, where the director of our consortium, David Fernández, explained the renewable gas project that we are developing in Butarque (Madrid). This plant was the first facility in Spain to inject #RenewableGas into NEDGIA, grupo Naturgy‘s natural gas distribution network.
Fernández has highlighted, among others, some of the advantages of #biomethane:
- It boosts the #CircularEconomy because it turns a waste into a resource.
- It allows to store the intermittent production of other renewable energies.
- It has a negative carbon footprint if the entire production chain is considered.
